Potentially the easiest way may be to use a holiday lettings website that will allow you to search for exactly the type of cottage you want. Some of the more user friendly holiday rentals sites split the cottages in to “types” (eg coastal holiday lets, cottages for walking, even cottages with hot tubs) as well as location, allowing you to really refine your search for that perfect holiday spot.

They should also include a description of the accommodation, amenities and whether it is a pet-friendly cottage etc.

You can then choose the property that best suits what you are looking for in terms of location and accommodation etc and start looking forward to your holiday!

Finally, some holiday cottages are available for short terms lets – such as weekends. So if you want to really make the most of your weekend, experience new sights and sounds without the hassle of airports, and return to work on the Monday with a spring in your step, then finding out more may be the next step.
